Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team at the University of Iowa's Medical Center North Liberty. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' nursing care needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and provide comprehensive support.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and interventions to promote patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes to inform care decisions and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • An associate degree in nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or a Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing is highly desired.
  • Orthopedic experience is preferred.
