About the Role

CIRCOR International is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical Design to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for executing assigned design work to support project activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptual design and development of mechanical components and control valves
  • Collaboration with sales, engineering project team members, and engineering management to ensure compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Design modifications to existing switch designs to satisfy new customer-driven design requirements
  • Creation of new designs based on proven products, with scaling and/or geometrical changes to meet new design requirements
  • Providing design solutions to manufacturing problems and sustaining business
  • Coordination and/or preparation of production drawings and documentation
  • Review, coordination, and/or drafting of procedures for hardware development, acceptance, and qualification testing
  • Technical and supervisory guidance to personnel assigned to support the project
  • Direction of building prototypes and development hardware
  • Coordination and direction of required design/technical activities for assigned projects
Requirements
  • BSME degree or equivalent qualification in work experience
  • 10 years minimum experience in the design and development of mechanical assemblies
  • Experience working with switches, electrical testing, precision testing using meters, and circuit boards
  • Knowledge of CADD, Solidworks, and ANSYS/FEA
  • Manufacturing practices, including machining, welding, stamping, molding, etc.
