  2. Payroll Administration: Execute bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of payroll entries while addressing any discrepancies.
  3. Bank Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliations of cash and banking transactions, collaborating with the billing department to ensure accurate posting of deposits and receivables.
  4. Invoice Preparation: Generate invoices and diligently track receivables to maintain financial accuracy.
  5. Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  6. Journal Entries: Prepare necessary journal entries and month-end accruals to reflect accurate financial standing.
  7. Financial Reporting: Assist in compiling and preparing financial reports and statistical data as required.
  8. Audit Preparation: Prepare schedules and reconciliations for year-end audits and various financial reports.
  9. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments to enhance the overall efficiency of the Finance Department.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable accounting role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A solid understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Acumatica, Paylocity, and eClinicalworks is advantageous but not mandatory.

This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of Bucksport Regional Health Center and requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and contribute to the team's success.
