We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at the Karcher Family Medicine Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Support a busy family practice provider and assist with various medical procedures, including immunizations and minor surgeries.
- Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox, and have the opportunity to be cross-trained in Urgent Care to help cover or float to these clinics.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcare Association (CCMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).
- Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
