Position Overview:

This role offers the flexibility to work remotely across the United States, with adaptable working hours, requiring a minimum of 6 hours overlap with Central Standard Time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining backend services within a microservices framework utilizing the Go programming language, various data storage solutions, and asynchronous event processing.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to assess requirements, prioritize tasks, and develop solutions that align with ongoing product development.
  • Acquiring a thorough understanding of specific banking-related domains managed by your team and analyzing how changes in these areas affect products.
  • Engaging with customer support teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Golang, Kubernetes, API development, Docker, Microservices, Terraform, Azure, Cloud technologies, Jenkins, and DevOps practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of programming experience.
  • At least 2 years of backend development experience using Go/Golang.
  • A proactive engineering mindset with a focus on delivery and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in a microservices architecture.
  • Background in developing cloud-hosted applications (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, or training Large Language Models (LLM).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration pipelines, observability, monitoring, Cloud Spanner, Mongo Atlas, and event-driven or distributed systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • A strong sense of ownership over deliverables, collaborating with product managers to define scope and supporting work in production.
