Quality Systems Supervisor

Refresco is a leading global independent beverage solutions provider, and we're seeking a Quality Systems Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day quality operations, including the implementation and monitoring of quality, sanitation, and batching systems to ensure compliance with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct supervision of Sanitation, Syrup Makers, and Quality Technicians
  • Reviews and resolves operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays
  • Ensures Food Safety and Food Quality policies and procedures are adhered to, including SQF Code, HACCP, and Refresco Quality
  • Determines, recommends, and ensures compliance with necessary departmental procedures in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Audits and maintains records necessary for quality control
  • Assists with the approval/release/rejection of all raw materials, finished goods, and in-process materials
  • Responsible for departmental non-conformances and implementation of corrective action
  • Maintains laboratory equipment in good working condition, including scheduling preventative maintenance and calibration requirements
  • Stocks and orders lab and sanitation supplies and consumables
  • Demonstrates leadership to Quality Assurance employees to ensure consistent quality of work
  • Assists Quality Assurance Manager with the development and maintenance of sanitation, syrup room, and quality KPIs
  • Ensures internal systems are updated accurately for syrup room and utilization activities
  • Ensures compliance to all OSHA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards
  • Investigates and identifies root causes of any non-compliance
  • Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Food Science, Quality, or related discipline
  • Three (3) years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage industry
  • Knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF) certification preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in a results-oriented manner
  • Organized and detail-oriented, adaptable to change
