Job Title: Veterinary Technician - Theriogenology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Theriogenology department at the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center. As a Veterinary Technician - Theriogenology Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care and assistance to patients under the supervision of clinicians and house officers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with reproductive services for small animal, equine, and food animal patients
  • Provide care and assistance to patients in the Theriogenology department
  • Assist with ultrasound procedures, semen collection, and other related tasks
  • Maintain orderly and sanitary work areas for clinical, teaching, and research facilities
  • Stock and organize patient exam rooms, treatment areas, holding areas, and operating rooms
Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a veterinary technology program accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) or the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA)
  • Registered, licensed, or certified as a veterinary technician within one year of the start date
  • Experience with handling and restraint of large animals
  • Working knowledge of theriogenology procedures
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments
