Position Summary:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician will collaborate closely with the HVAC Manager to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with customer service and dispatch teams to support overall business success
- Follow the company's strategy for addressing customer complaints promptly and effectively
- Keep job sites clean and organized, ensuring the service vehicle is well-stocked
- Engage actively in training sessions, morning briefings, and vendor technical training
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and servicing of HVAC equipment
- Thoroughly clean equipment and components, removing and reinstalling parts as necessary
- Lubricate moving parts to maintain optimal performance
- Document and report any damaged, worn, or broken components
- Order and install replacement parts for HVAC systems
- Diagnose causes of unexpected equipment failures
- Repair malfunctioning systems efficiently and prepare reports on work completed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop areas, tools, and supplies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with heating and cooling systems, including the ability to interpret diagrams and blueprints
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Highly organized with strong follow-through capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High integrity and advanced interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships
- Competitive spirit with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to establish rapport with customers to ensure satisfaction
Education and Experience:
- EPA certification with knowledge of relevant installation and venting regulations
- Three to four years of experience in HVAC preferred
- Experience in residential HVAC systems preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs
