Job Title: School Bus Mechanic

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a skilled School Bus Mechanic to join our team in Crowley, TX. As a School Bus Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing malfunctions on school buses, ensuring they are safe and reliable for students and staff.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced School Bus Mechanic to perform routine and preventative maintenance on school buses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on school buses, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions on school buses, including electrical, cooling, and suspension systems.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in vehicle repair, preferably on bus/medium-duty vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL (if not already held).
  • ASE Certification desirable but not required.
  • Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
