We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EHS Specialist Co-Op to join our team in Aurora, IL. This is a 6-month assignment that will provide you with valuable experience in promoting effective initiatives that achieve industry best EHS and sustainability performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage and collaborate with personnel at all levels to implement and manage industry best environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of global EHS Programs.
  • Assist with in-person EHS training classes.
  • Assist with the implementation of corrective actions to eliminate safety hazards.
  • Support the design review of new projects and modifications to existing processes and facilities to identify and resolve EHS issues.
  • Participate in committees that support our OHS/EHS Management System.
  • Conduct risk and ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.
  • Review the Industrial Hygiene Program, including monitoring, analyzing results, and ensuring proper controls and awareness.
  • Champion a culture of EHS excellence by promoting engagement and buy-in.
Requirements:
  • Three years of study in occupational safety, occupational health, engineering, environmental science, or other EHS-related technical discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work scheduled hours outside of the normally assigned schedule.
  • Familiarity with MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
