Position Overview:

The Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing various client accounts, overseeing the activities of staff engaged in the cleaning and upkeep of commercial and institutional facilities.

This role involves the management of multiple job sites, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews, hire, and train new team members.
  • Address and resolve employee and client concerns.
  • Delegate tasks to staff and review completed work for adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including site-specific training for new hires.
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition.
  • Track employee hours and oversee timekeeping processes.
  • Step in to perform the duties of supervised staff as needed.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide clients with monthly updates on facility conditions and ongoing projects.

Thorough knowledge of the business-to-business service sector and its delivery components is essential in this role.


Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience, or a degree from a four-year college or a two-year technical institution.
  • The ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • A willingness to learn fundamental principles and techniques.
  • The capability to identify and interpret numerical data accurately.

Certifications:

Candidates should have a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • Reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Occasionally talk or hear.
  • Lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Have specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
