Compensation: $40.53 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Role Overview:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for assessing patients for nutritional risks and addressing nutrition consultations as directed by healthcare providers and the medical team. This role involves delivering medical nutrition therapy aimed at disease prevention and management, ensuring positive health outcomes for both inpatient and outpatient populations identified as at nutritional risk or referred for consultation.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related discipline, alongside successful completion of a supervised practice program in nutrition.
- Eligibility to take the registration examination for Dietitians.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior clinical experience within an acute care teaching environment.
Licensure and Certification:
- Eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Successful completion of the Registration Examination for Dietitians within six months of hire.
- Acquisition of New York State certification as a dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) within one year of hire or after passing the Registration Examination.
Preferred Certification:
- Registered Dietitian.
