Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate both Horizontal and Vertical CNC Lathes equipped with Fanuc controls, adhering to engineering specifications, guidelines, and operation sheets. Familiarity with manual machines is advantageous.
- Select suitable cutting tools, fixtures, and tool holders for specific tasks.
- Efficiently run similar jobs with short cycle times over extended periods, ensuring stable manufacturing processes that do not require frequent changes.
- Interpret engineering instructions, travelers, and blueprints, with a solid understanding of geometric tolerances and principles.
- Simultaneously operate multiple machines, typically one to two, depending on job complexity, with the potential to manage more based on skill and familiarity.
- Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning, and report any malfunctions to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
Utilize lifting and handling equipment, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, to move in-process or finished components to designated locations.
Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Vertical or Horizontal CNC Lathe machining within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and following written and verbal work instructions in English.
- Ability to lift or transfer components weighing up to 50 pounds.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
