Position Summary:
Yorktel is in search of a Field Engineer specializing in TechOps to represent our services on client premises. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to a diverse array of video conferencing solutions and fully integrated audiovisual systems within corporate settings.

The Field Engineer will operate independently or collaborate with the TechOps Service Desk to investigate user-reported issues and monitor alerts, gathering essential information to facilitate resolutions.

When not engaged in field dispatch, the engineer will assist the TechOps Desk in generating necessary documentation from recent service calls and provide remote support based on their expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to fellow technicians.
- Collaborate with technical client points of contact for incidents that can be resolved remotely.
- Create and maintain documentation, including training materials for common issues and troubleshooting steps for our Knowledge Database.
- Conduct in-person and remote training sessions to enhance team knowledge and skills.

This role involves working within a project team, addressing client-specific issues, and ensuring effective communication regarding technical inquiries and resolutions.

Field Engineers are responsible for documenting findings on customer-reported issues for thorough root cause analysis and providing comprehensive post-service documentation.

Additional duties include the installation, configuration, and testing of integrated system components, ensuring operational readiness prior to client acceptance.

Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Extensive experience in integrated audiovisual equipment deployment and troubleshooting, with a preference for candidates with at least 10 years in the field.

Applicants should possess a solid understanding of network technologies and experience with various audiovisual control systems and software.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Flexibility for domestic travel and potential international assignments.
