Job Summary

Gracepoint is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for adhering to all clinical policies and procedures, including documentation of patient information accurately and timely into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Conduct intake interviews for new and returning patients, ensuring a thorough understanding of their medical history and needs.
  • Participate in daily team huddles to ensure pre-visit preparation, including culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
  • Prepare patients for medical exams, assist providers with exams as requested, and perform related duties to ensure quality patient care.
  • Process tasks and route specific tasks appropriately, ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication with the care team.
  • Administer adult vaccines at the direction of a provider, perform screening tests, and safely and accurately draw blood.
  • Schedule patients for follow-up appointments based on established protocols and follow up with patients who must keep important appointments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab surfaces.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend verbal and written instructions, file alphabetically, and use office machines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide information and respond to questions from employees, clients, visitors, and outside providers.
  • Minimum of six months' experience in a Medical Assistant role.
  • Ability to navigate and enter data into an electronic health record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
