POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for enhancing quality management systems, executing testing and evaluation protocols, applying measurement and statistical techniques to identify and resolve quality issues, comprehending human factors and motivation, overseeing quality expenditures, establishing management information systems, and conducting quality audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Formulate and uphold quality assurance strategies, procedures, standards, and specifications for products and processes.
  • Examine supplier quality metrics, generate reports, and drive improvements.
  • Assess potential new suppliers, evaluate quality frameworks, and negotiate warranty terms.
  • Deliver training on quality assurance practices, implement statistical methodologies, and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Tackle manufacturing, customer, and supplier concerns, propose solutions, and foster enhancements.
  • Utilize GD&T principles to assess product specifications and suggest design modifications for manufacturing uniformity.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes for quality assurance.
  • Perform quality system evaluations, manage capital expenditures, and seek cost-saving initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, or quality assurance/control, or 4-5 years in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with machining processes is beneficial.
  • Expertise in GD&T, knowledge of ISO ASQ certification is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, proficiency in blueprint interpretation, and Microsoft Office skills.
