The Master Data Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of master data within the corporate supply chain team. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across different levels and roles within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with functional departments to ensure accurate and complete master data is provided for new materials, customers, and vendors in SAP.
- Execute master data creations within SAP and maintain system data in accordance with established standard operating procedures, templates, and mapping documents.
- Ensure all required SAP fields are populated with accurate data, including material master, bill of material, routing, vendor, and customer data.
- Function as a master data knowledge resource, providing support and guidance to the business on master data and data workflow tools.
- Collaborate with the master data team to understand rules and data setup for new requirements due to system enhancements, process improvements, and business rule changes.
- Provide subject matter expertise on master data functionality for assigned projects and processes.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, user request forms, and other documentation to promote data consistency.
- Provide cross-training and share knowledge with teammates to build skills across the master data team.
- Continuously improve knowledge of master data to better understand how data elements are used technically and by the business.
- Maintain professional, timely, and effective communication with all parties.
- Provide timely and accurate information regarding master data requests.
- Work with cross-functional teams on projects related to master data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to proactively troubleshoot issues related to master data, identify root causes, and implement resolutions.
- Improve the quality and accuracy of master data by participating in routine audits and data cleansing activities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of SAP/ERP business experience in customer care, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of SAP (ECC preferred) and utilization of Tcodes.
- Previous experience in a customer-focused environment, preferably in a similar role in a B2B/C PG environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas, merging of data sets, and ability to link various spreadsheets or data tables.
- Experience with entering master data related to product (material/BOM), customers, and/or vendors into the organization's ERP.
- Strong data entry skills and knowledge of supply chain functionality.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to form, foster, and maintain strong, positive business relationships across multiple units and sites.
- Able to work independently as well as across functional or matrix team structures.
- Intermediate analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good grammar, voice, and diction.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- An effective team player.
- A strong desire for continuous learning and a desire to grow professionally.
- Critical thinking ability.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
