Key Responsibilities:
  1. Formulate and execute the information security strategy for the Digital Grid sector, ensuring it aligns with overarching business goals.
  2. Possess expertise in security considerations across diverse business models, including perpetual licenses, enterprise licenses, and SaaS, with deployment options spanning on-premise, hybrid-cloud, and cloud environments.
  3. Oversee the creation and enforcement of security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's digital assets.
  4. Lead and manage a team of security experts to ensure continuous monitoring and protection of the company's networks, systems, and data.
  5. Establish and maintain resilient and secure systems to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of mission-critical software.
  6. Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of security breaches or system failures.
  7. Collaborate closely with development teams to embed security measures into the software development lifecycle, ensuring security is a core consideration from design through deployment.
  8. Direct the assessment and management of security risks pertinent to the Digital Grid domain.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development and operation of digital grid solutions.
  10. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and internal security requirements.
  11. Promote security awareness and training initiatives tailored to the Digital Grid team.
  12. Act as the primary liaison for security-related issues within the Digital Grid division.
  13. Stay informed about emerging threats and technologies to proactively tackle security challenges.
  14. Demonstrate proven experience as a CISO or in a senior information security capacity, ideally within the energy distribution, DERMS, or digital grid sectors.
  15. Possess a deep understanding of digital grid technologies, including IoT, cloud computing, and advanced distribution management systems.
  16. Exhibit strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, NERC CIP, GDPR, IEC 62443, CIS, CSA SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, CRA).
  17. Showcase excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  18. Hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, which are highly desirable.
  19. Possess an advanced degree in engineering, cybersecurity, or computer information technology-related fields.
