Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hygiene Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our hygiene department, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the schedule, ensuring patient satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Educate patients about their treatment plans and associated fees
- Help patients understand their dental insurance benefits and calculate their financial responsibility
- Work with outside patient care financing companies to provide patients with a wide range of financial options
- Collaborate with our financial team to address and collect patient balances
- Manage the hygiene schedule to ensure efficient use of time and resources
- Mentor new team members and provide guidance and support as needed
- 3+ years of experience in a dental front desk or insurance position
- Flexibility in regards to scheduling, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays
- Excellent attention to detail and high follow-through
- Ability to calculate percentages accurately and quickly using basic math skills
- Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
- Outstanding teamwork skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people
