Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Consulting License Practical Nurse to join our team at Germain Consulting Services, PLLC. As a Consulting LPN, you will play a vital role in overseeing the health and wellness of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential group homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the directive of the Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Direct Support Staff and Approved Medication Personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with medical appointments and follow-ups, including lab tests and diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor medication and treatment regimens for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Observe and report any health and safety concerns to the RN.
  • Administer medication as needed.
  • Review, audit, and maintain individuals' medical records.
  • Provide training to staff on nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
Requirements
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required.
  • 1-2 years of RN experience is highly preferred.
  • A valid NYS RN license in good standing is required.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with coworkers, individuals served, families, and outside contacts.
