We are seeking a skilled Consulting License Practical Nurse to join our team at Germain Consulting Services, PLLC. As a Consulting LPN, you will play a vital role in overseeing the health and wellness of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential group homes.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the directive of the Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Direct Support Staff and Approved Medication Personnel.
- Monitor compliance with medical appointments and follow-ups, including lab tests and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor medication and treatment regimens for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Observe and report any health and safety concerns to the RN.
- Administer medication as needed.
- Review, audit, and maintain individuals' medical records.
- Provide training to staff on nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
- 1-2 years of RN experience is highly preferred.
- A valid NYS RN license in good standing is required.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with coworkers, individuals served, families, and outside contacts.
