Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Plastic Surgeon to join our team at the University of California, Davis. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in the teaching and practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including clinical care, microsurgery, and basic science/translational research trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students and residents in plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Conduct research in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including microsurgery and basic science/translational research trials
  • Provide clinical care to patients with facial wounds, congenital deformities, and/or breast reconstructive needs
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities
Requirements
  • MD degree
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Plastic Surgery
  • Commitment to research activity
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fellowship training in Microsurgery
  • Understanding of plastic and reconstructive surgery of patients with facial wounds, congenital deformities, and/or breast reconstructive needs, microsurgery, and basic science/translational research trials
