Monmouth County Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to provide support services, case management, and guidance to individuals and families in need of mental, physical, and financial assistance. The successful candidate will work towards achieving self-sufficiency, preventing or remedying abuse or neglect, and providing assistance and resources to ensure a safe and stable environment.
**Work Locations:**
The Social Worker will function in either the Main Office in Freehold, Ocean Township, and/or various offsite community agencies and facilities within Monmouth County.
**Responsibilities:**
* Communicate with intra/inter-agencies both verbally and in writing
* Comply with Agency policy, rules, and regulations
* Conduct in-person interviews (in the office and offsite)
* Provide crisis intervention and response
* Perform basic computer skills
**Requirements:**
* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
* Note: Applicants who do not meet the above education requirement may substitute experience in social work having responsibility for gathering social information from clients, determining their needs, and planning and carrying out treatment plans and/or service plans geared to the needs of individual clients on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience
* Knowledge and experience in basic Social Work practice and skills is preferred
**Note:** All Monmouth County positions are on-site. There are no provisions to work remotely.
