Representative Payee Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply Medicaid, Medicare, and Insurance billing guidelines, including coordination of benefits.
- Complete necessary forms for Social Security, Medicaid, Disability, and housing.
- Manage payee files in compliance with Social Security's policy and procedure requirements.
- Report changes in client status to Social Security as required.
- Receive and open mail, assist with deposits, and distribute checks.
- Work with clients and case managers to create monthly budgets addressing basic needs.
- Advocate for clients to provide additional support in the community.
- Provide intake and ongoing customer service to adult individuals and case managers.
- Effectively communicate with clients, guardians, support coordinators, and governmental staff.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience:
- Experience with Therap and Fee for Service Billing and Record Keeping.
- 2-5 years of Medical Billing/Collections/Accounting experience in a corporate office environment.
