I. POSITION OVERVIEW

The role involves assembling metal or plastic components, either partially or fully, while working at a workstation or on the production floor by executing the following responsibilities.

Due to variations in production demands, employees may be reassigned across different departments, roles, or shifts at the discretion of management.

II. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

III. COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and management is essential.

IV. SUPERVISION

This position operates under the direct supervision of the Department Supervisor.

  1. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  1. TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED SKILLS
No specific training required.

VII. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Preferred experience of three to six months in a related field.

VIII. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

No travel is required.
  1. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Position components based on knowledge of the assembly process.
  • Secure parts together using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Utilize hand tools to remove small amounts of material for precise fitting.
  • Operate machinery such as drill presses, punch presses, and riveting machines to facilitate assembly.
  • Engage machinery by pressing buttons or pedals.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify defects or malfunctions.
  • Perform basic maintenance on machines, including lubrication.
  • Clear machines of any obstructions that may hinder operation.
  • Inspect assembled components to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Verify that quality standards are met before packaging.
  • Accurately place items in bags, boxes, or containers.
  • Transfer completed items to the conveyor belt or next workstation.
  • Assist in the formation, labeling, and sealing of boxes.
  • Ensure proper labeling with dates, shifts, and lot numbers as necessary.
  • Alert supervisors or quality control staff of any quality issues.
  • Notify supervisors or maintenance personnel of required machine adjustments.
  • Be available for overtime work as needed.
  • Report potential safety hazards to supervisors and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Engage with coworkers in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
  1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for manipulation, reach with arms, and occasionally sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  1. WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and may occasionally encounter fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, though hearing protection may be necessary depending on the assigned department.
