The Clinical Practice Educator is a key member of the nursing team at Mission Community Hospital, responsible for developing and maintaining the clinical skills of nursing staff. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing theory and evidence-based practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic education plans to enhance clinical practice and patient care
- Collaborate with Nursing Directors and Managers to identify clinical practice education needs and develop targeted solutions
- Participate in marketing activities to promote the Hospital's services and values
- Assist with staff recognition and reward programs to promote positive behaviors and teamwork
- Conduct clinical practice rounds and interact with staff on patient care units to ensure high-quality patient care
- Develop and present educational programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills, including CEU-approved courses and in-services
- Assess and validate staff competencies to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction
- Current California RN license
- Minimum of three years acute nursing experience and two years clinical education experience
- Preferred: BSN degree, CCRN certification, and experience in behavioral health
The Clinical Practice Educator will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, interacting with staff and patients on a regular basis. The ability to navigate physical environments safely and understand written communications is essential for this role.
