Job Description

Role Overview:

A key member of our team at Patrick Motor Group, LLC, the Automotive Lot Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the organization and appearance of our car dealership's lot or parking area. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lot Maintenance: Arrange vehicles on the lot in an orderly and accessible manner, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized environment.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe lot by removing debris, snow, and ice, and ensuring that all vehicles are properly secured.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles are parked properly, and identify any damage, flat tires, or other issues that may need attention.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers who visit the lot, providing information and assistance as needed, and directing them to the appropriate sales or service staff.
  • Key Management: Ensure that vehicle keys are properly stored and secured, and that all vehicles are ready for test drives.
  • Assistance with Dealer Swaps and Registration Runs: Assist with the transfer of vehicles between lots and the completion of registration runs as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as checking and inflating tires, and jump-starting vehicles, as well as assist other departments within the dealership as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive financing and leasing options, as well as knowledge of vehicle features and specifications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for periods of time, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and lift boxes up to 10 lbs. Occasional bending, walking, and mobility will be necessary.
  • Language Skills: Employee must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
