Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Engineer to join our team as a Program Authority in assigned customer/PEO/PM and/or Tech Base programs. The successful candidate will require specific knowledge of one or more of the following technical disciplines: Tactical Applications, Guided Armaments, and Mission Command.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceive, defend, and monitor policies and develop both short/long range plans for assigned areas and activities.
  • Guide Armaments Center teams to provide proposals against requests from external customers, such as OSD, ASA(ALT), AFC, and requirements Community, SOCOM, COCOMs, PM Mission Command, other PEO/PMMust also have the ability to identify risk areas and provide strategic guidance to cross-functional Armaments Center teams, including ARDEC technical leads, APOs, PIO and FM Tech Base personnel.
  • Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • Moving expenses are not authorized for this position.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering.
  • At least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
Working Conditions

This is a Career Program (CP) 16- Engineering and Technical Management Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
