Expectations for the Role:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service and general office operations; experience in accounting is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in terminal or plant operations is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with operational and administrative requirements for specific customer products.

  • Knowledge of operational and administrative product requirements.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including RCRA, is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage diverse personalities and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficient in company processes and infrastructure; ability to locate customer information, including contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; ability to interact effectively with transportation personnel and colleagues.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various financial software programs.
Daily Responsibilities:

Your primary duties will include:
  • Adhering to all safety protocols relevant to your position; participating in safety training and promoting safety values.
  • Acting as the single point of contact for customers regarding order processing across all transportation modes.
  • Managing paperwork and updating relevant systems and databases.
  • Handling order processing for products with multiple components and operational services.
  • Conducting quality documentation and reporting on non-compliance issues.
  • Coordinating schedules for railcars and trucks as needed.
  • Performing basic inventory functions and monitoring inventory levels.
  • Preparing special reports and managing projects as requested by customers.
  • Maintaining and organizing completed orders and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Monitoring truck shipments and addressing any deviations.
  • Maintaining customer railcar fleets for product movement.
  • Regularly training on environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Participating in daily operations meetings and customer meetings.
  • Engaging in improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining internal and external reports for accuracy.
  • Generating billing for additional charges related to tank truck and tank car storage.
  • Managing the sales and order database systems.
  • Training new Customer Service Representatives as required.
  • Collaborating with fellow Customer Service Representatives.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment:

This position requires work in both an office setting and exposure to outdoor elements. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures and various chemicals. Compliance with safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to walk, sit, speak, and hear. Tasks may require standing, using hands for various functions, and occasionally climbing or balancing. Lifting up to fifty pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception. Travel may be required as part of the role.
