About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Information Specialist I - Onsite to join our team at CIOX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing release of information (ROI) requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Work with minimal supervision, responding to changing priorities and role needs
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as data entry and faxing
  • Meet productivity expectations and adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and adapting to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare environment or related field
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience
  • In-person customer service experience
  • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers
Working Conditions

This is an onsite position, and the work environment is generally performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. The incumbent must be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
