This role reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager at Tampa General Hospital, overseeing strategic process improvement, managing complex projects, and solving difficult problems. The Finance and Revenue Cycle Program Specialist will drive project management skills and possess relevant finance and revenue cycle knowledge to ensure project scope is aligned with business objectives, customer expectations are established and managed, issues and changes are controlled and escalated as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Drive strategic process improvement and manage complex projects
- Solve difficult problems and demonstrate project management skills
- Manage Payer Relations issues across the enterprise, including compilation of impacted claims, modeling revenue impacts, and facilitating resolutions with payers
- Provide analytic support to RCO leadership in areas of staffing, revenue opportunity, denial reporting, productivity, and other forms of financial analysis
- A/A degree in Healthcare or related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Lean Six Sigma (or within 6 months of hire) OR Project Management (within 6 months of hire)
- A minimum of 5 years of direct healthcare project management experience with a focus on revenue cycle, billing, finance, and IT
