We are in search of a skilled full-time, on-site Construction Scheduler with a robust background in aviation and project management. The ideal candidate should possess 5-10 years of experience with Oracle P6 and have a solid foundation in the aviation sector. A Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is required, along with a PMI-SP certification or a willingness to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Oracle Primavera P6 to create and maintain project schedules for aviation-related construction initiatives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project timelines.
- Implement project control procedures to monitor progress and identify potential delays.
- Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Manage cost control to ensure projects remain within budgetary limits.
- Review specifications and calculate takeoffs from plans to determine quantities for scheduling activities and durations.
- Load schedules with cost and/or resources as necessary.
- Prepare independent CPM schedules to assess construction contract milestones, durations, and the impact of contract modifications.
- Evaluate contractor or consultant schedules and provide recommendations for corrective actions to address variances from completion dates.
- Support negotiations for finalizing time impact claims.
- Assist in constructability reviews.
- Experience with Earned Value Management is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience with Oracle P6.
- Experience in the aviation sector.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze schedule data and provide professional insights on variances.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with e-builder, Procore, Bluebeam, or InEight is a plus.
- Attention to detail and diligence in work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of project control procedures and practices.
- Capability to assist in preparing construction scheduling specifications.
- Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with construction cost tracking and control.
- Ability to present schedule reports to stakeholders.
- Capacity to thrive in a challenging environment.
