About the Role

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer I to manage the entire cement manufacturing process. This is a critical role that requires a strong analytical mind and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the cement manufacturing process to ensure optimal operating conditions for fuel efficiency, electrical efficiency, and production rate.
  • Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with shift process teams to ensure mills and pyro lines are consistently operated at peak efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve product quality.
  • Provide technical support to the Production Department to achieve objectives of maximizing plant production of quality-controlled cement efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Optimize process by testing, data gathering, sampling, and in-house expertise to provide progressive solutions and enable continual improvement in the production process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical, chemical engineering, or closely related position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform, organize, and prioritize work independently.
  • Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
  • Knowledge of pyro processing, thermodynamics, heat transfer, air flow, and related principles.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and instrumentation techniques and guidelines.
  • Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly.
