Position Overview

VAL-CO, a prominent name in the commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment sector, is currently in search of a Full-Time Shipper/CDL Driver for our operations in Coldwater, Ohio. This role offers the flexibility of 1st Shift with an option for a 4-10 hour workweek.

*Compensation of up to $22.71 per hour, with overtime pay for hours exceeding 40

*Generous paid time off following the successful completion of a 90-day probationary period


This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Efficiently prepare and load orders for various shipping methods including motor freight (Truck Load and Less than Truck Load), UPS services, and customer pickups.
  • Organize the staging and loading processes for customer orders.
  • Maintain communication with Distribution Center supervision regarding the status of customer orders and any necessary modifications.
  • Ensure that all orders are securely packaged and loaded to avoid damage during transit.
  • Provide courteous assistance to customers and visitors.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and computer transactions in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Forklift and Driver License.
  • Proficient understanding of the company’s computer systems and product offerings.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Ability to interact successfully and courteously with others.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities.
  • Competence in reading and accurately completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Ability to visualize loads and make appropriate packaging decisions.
