Job Title: Networks Assistant Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Networks Assistant Supervisor to join our team at InDyne Inc. in Pituffik Space Base, Greenland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Network Supervisor in managing and directing the activities of the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and DSN voice networks.
  • Ensure contractor-controlled availability rates meet or exceed Performance Work Statement requirements.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and contractors to accomplish mission-essential operations.
  • Review and provide inputs to change or enhance procedures and Operating Instructions (OIs).
  • Attend meetings to provide local command elements with relevant details of system availability, equipment malfunctions, logistical, funding, and safety issues.
  • Coordinate with other agencies and Thule Plans and Programs office concerning equipment installations.
  • Monitor facility maintenance and upgrades.
  • Review and submit shift schedules for approval.
  • Manage and direct work center activities in support of all operational requirements.
  • Assist in the training of new personnel and recurring training as needed.
  • Update training records and ensure training programs are up to date with the installation or removal of equipment.
  • Create and submit appropriate reports as needed.
  • Request Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as needed to perform maintenance.
  • Work with telecommunications users, Network Operation System Centers (NOSC), and other facilities in the timely troubleshooting and restoration of communications.
  • Oversee the proper actions for incoming and outgoing classified documents and equipment.
  • Able to perform the duties of Network Telecommunications technicians.
  • Supervise the work center utilizing the appropriate operating instructions, Technical Orders, and Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Circulars.
  • Ensure operational availability requirements are satisfied IAW the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Comprehend technical data and use test equipment for system troubleshooting and repair.
  • Coordinate with supply on matters of turning in or ordering of equipment items.
  • Conduct annual inventory of all equipment items and ensure they are labeled correctly.
  • Ensure proper inventories of all material are conducted and annotated in the Master Station Log (MSL).
  • Oversee and coordinate Crypto updates with the COMSEC custodian.
  • Create Emergency Action Plans (EAP) for situations in accordance with proper directives.
  • Coordinate with the Precision Measurement Equipment Lab (PMEL) on ordering new test equipment or repair/replacement of older test equipment.
  • Accountable for supply point, bench stock, and supplemental inventories.
  • Maintain historical data of all network operations and maintenance.
  • Verify status of Preventive Maintenance Inspections.
  • Provide duty relief to subordinate personnel for meal, restroom, and storm breaks.
  • Responsible for the cybersecurity posture of the networks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of civilian or military technical training or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in office administration with demonstrated skills in the use of automated office products such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have an Active Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • COMPTIA Security + certification required.
  • Preference is given for a degree in communications, computers, or electrical systems training along with military leadership and management experience to include military leadership schools.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Rotation schedule will be 8 weeks on and 5 weeks off with possibility of adjustment.
  • A 72-hour work week will be the norm.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
