Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive and exemplary customer service to current and potential customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Qualify inbound customer contacts to understand their projects and provide recommendations on the best equipment to use, ensuring that customers receive the right tools for the job.
  • Build relationships with customers to make them feel valued and appreciated, resulting in repeat business and referrals.
  • Complete customer orders, source equipment as needed, and process order cancellations and requests for equipment pick-ups in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Meet and greet walk-in customers at our Tool Rental Fulfillment Center, providing a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Assist with training customers and Sunbelt personnel on the safe and efficient operation of rental tools.
  • Maintain open communication with local General Tool branches and Retail Service Centers to coordinate the fulfillment of orders and other operational aspects of the business.
  • Continuously develop and grow with the business, ensuring that leadership staff is knowledgeable of opportunities and able to make informed decisions.
  • Make recommendations for improvement of existing processes and procedures, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Professional, friendly attitude and strong telephone handling skills to develop a rapport with customers over the phone.
  • Strong team player with a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude at all times.
  • Strong PC systems and typing skills (CRM, email, chat).
  • Previous experience in a call center customer service role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Sunbelt's point of sale system, Wynne or AS400 preferred.
  • Previous equipment rental or construction industry experience preferred.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include bending, squatting, crouching, and/or reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some roles may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions, and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
