Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems within commercial environments. Candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and professionalism in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Exhibit punctuality and reliability in attendance, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Participate in various tasks, including training sessions, both locally and out of state.
  • Support fellow technicians by providing assistance during peak service times.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure effective communication with clients to deliver exceptional service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone and in customer interactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be able to utilize personal transportation during the initial six-month period.
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends, is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions, as well as interpret complex blueprints and specifications.
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and working in challenging positions, including heights.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Secure all tools and equipment at the end of each work period to prevent loss or damage.

Additional Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in the installation and pre-wiring of fire alarm systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in conduit installation and pipe bending.
  • 2+ years of experience in reading blueprints and collaborating with clients to address concerns.

The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, possess excellent customer service skills, and demonstrate strong communication abilities.
