Job Summary

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their families
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to any changes or concerns
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
  • Current state nursing license
  • ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment)
  • BLS
  • One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting
