Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary: TEEMA - Eagle seeks a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care and support to pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of pediatric nursing and be able to work effectively as part of a medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides advanced nursing care to pediatric patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
  • Obtains patient history, screens patients for physical and mental development, and administers immunizations.
  • Orders tests or scans, diagnoses illnesses, prescribes medicines, and outlines and monitors courses of treatment.
  • Partners with physicians to develop care plans and advises on changes in patient status.
  • Assists patients in managing chronic illnesses and promotes health and wellness.
  • Performs school or extra-curricular physical examinations and adjusts nursing care processes as needed.
  • Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in nursing (MSN or DNP), RN and NP licensure, and 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Current License as Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with the Board of Registered Nursing in the State of California.
  • Required passing of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Boards exam.
  • Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program of study.
  • Current certification by one of the following boards: the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board or National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties, or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
  • Current AHA BLS certified.
  • Current AHA ACLS certified (if submitting privileges for inpatient setting).
