Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Therapist to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a Respiratory Care Therapist, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in the Infant ICU, Pediatric ICU, ED, Medical, Surgical, Hem/Onc and Rehab units.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in various units, including Infant ICU, Pediatric ICU, ED, Medical, Surgical, Hem/Onc and Rehab.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their respiratory function.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care from an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers or current PALS certification (PALS certification required within 6 months of hire).
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year current critical care experience - adult, pediatric or neonatal.
  • PALS, NRP, and/or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty credential from the NBRC.
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or other health-related field.
