Position Overview:
As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of hotel rooms and common areas, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests, staff, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using appropriate cleaning tools and agents.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and instructions for the use of cleaning supplies.
- Strip and remake beds, changing linens as necessary, which may involve lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Dust and sanitize all furniture, artwork, drawers, window sills, and shelves.
- Utilize a vacuum cleaner throughout the room and dispose of trash properly.
- Restock guest room amenities, linens, and supplies as needed.
- Sign for room keys, transport them to assigned rooms, and restock cleaning carts. Conduct visual inspections of rooms to ensure cleanliness and report completion.
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for shifts.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks, including scrubbing and scouring surfaces, and working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
- Capability to push and pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
