Job Title: Guest Room Attendant

Job Overview:

As a Guest Room Attendant with Le Meridien St Louis Clayton, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms to the highest standards. This includes cleaning and stocking rooms, adhering to cleaning procedures, and using cleaning agents safely and effectively.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Clean and disinfect all surfaces, including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors.
  • Strip and make beds, changing bed linens after each guest departure.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve, and restock heavy carts.
  • Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance, and signify completion for each room.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with a 'team' mentality.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions as assigned by supervisor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull up to 100 lbs, bend, stoop, extend arms over head.
  • Ability to stand or be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge of proper/safe usage of cleaning agents and equipment or the ability/desire to learn.
