About the Operations Team

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategy and Operations, this role is pivotal within the US Financial Operations team, which is part of a broader global FinOps initiative. The objective is to achieve operational excellence throughout the customer transaction lifecycle and manage liquidity to facilitate the company's global growth. As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will collaborate closely with teams across Operations, Commercial, and Product to identify and resolve FinOps-related challenges.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Oversee the complete client transaction lifecycle, addressing inquiries, identifying discrepancies from data reports and dashboards promptly, and coordinating with various teams to resolve issues.
  • Assist with daily safeguarding responsibilities across multiple Airwallex entities.
  • Supervise the clearing and settlement of client funds and global money pools; implement data-driven strategies to enhance liquidity management, fund risk management, and treasury efficiency.
  • Maintain and update the team knowledge base and standard operating procedures; seek opportunities for operational optimization and process automation.
  • Develop data-driven performance metrics and quality assurance frameworks to monitor, identify, and address operational risks and control deficiencies.
  • Establish compliant, accurate, and timely reporting capabilities in accordance with external regulatory and third-party requirements.
Candidate Profile

We seek individuals who meet the essential qualifications for this role. While preferred qualifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in payments or operations within a technology organization.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • A collaborative team player who excels in working closely with others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; technical skills in VBA and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker and Data Studio.
