Adjunct Professor in Animation and Gaming (3D Graphics)

Overview:This position is part of an ongoing recruitment effort to establish a pool of candidates for part-time, temporary teaching assignments as required. Departments will utilize this pool to fill temporary roles based on their needs.
Minimum Qualifications:A. One of the following credentials from a regionally accredited institution:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher along with two (2) years of relevant professional experience; OR
- An associate's degree accompanied by six (6) years of relevant professional experience; OR
- Equivalent qualifications
- A California Community College credential, "Valid for Life"
B. A strong commitment to the objectives of community colleges in delivering quality educational programs and services for a diverse student body; the ability to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural setting; and an understanding of the unique needs of non-traditional students.
A portfolio showcasing industry-standard 3D graphics or personal projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Instruct students in 3D modeling techniques using Maya software.
- Deliver the curriculum as outlined in the course description.
- Guide, mentor, and support students in their learning journey.
- Conduct both in-person and online classes with professionalism.
- Be accessible to students during designated office hours.
- Ensure students adhere to project timelines.
- Collaborate with program faculty on teaching methodologies.
- Communicate classroom-related issues to program faculty.

Selection Procedure:A committee will assess applications based on educational background, training, experience, skills, knowledge, and other relevant criteria. Interviews may include practical assessments and demonstrations.
