Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products and processes through instrument qualifications, applications, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and experience with analytical instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform instrument preventive maintenance and performance verification according to schedule and standards.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot instrument issues, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory documents.
  • Develop and review validation protocols and technical reports.
  • Review and make recommendations on internal and external documents.
  • Collect, calculate, interpret, document, and report test results according to ALCOA principles.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs related to testing programs, laboratory operations, and equipment operation.
  • Investigate laboratory quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform equipment calibration and maintenance, and serve as an instrument advocate.
  • Identify and procure laboratory instrumentation, and perform qualification and validation.
  • Conduct peer review and approval of data collected by coworkers.
  • Lead laboratory initiatives and programs.
  • Train analysts on internal procedures and test methods.
  • Perform statistical analysis and utilize change control systems and inventory management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for critical processes and testing.
  • Support tracking and reporting laboratory performance metrics.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience or high school +16 yrs; Assoc.+10yrs; M.S & PhD.+0 yrs
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
10 Years of Relevant Experience
2 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Chemistry background with experience in analytical instrumentation is a must.
