Key Responsibilities

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing established and new customers, selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability goals. Primary areas of responsibility include:

  • Primary owner of customer relationship
  • Selling and engaging customers in value-added activities
  • Leveraging other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening

The Territory Sales Manager will also be responsible for fostering customer relationships in a team-based selling model, managing deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department, and troubleshooting any problems that occur during the order process.

Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for communicating and collecting accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client, and collecting all balances due based on approved credit terms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation abilities, and the ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.

They will also have a competitive spirit and results-driven mentality, problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills, as well as team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving motor vehicle to existing customers and prospects to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting/carrying up to 75lbs.

The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record in good standing.
