Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director to lead our operations and strategic planning efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of patient/customer service, staff management, and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the development and implementation of patient/customer service, staff management, and financial goals.
  • Provide strategic direction for assigned units by setting short and long-term goals, estimating budgetary requirements, and planning and implementing special projects and policies.
  • Forecast capital and operating budget needs, evaluating and reporting on market sensitivity, financial analysis, space utilization review, and staff performance evaluation.
  • Maintain effective control of the unit's budget, ensuring funds are used to meet the goals and mission of the university and department.
  • Direct special interdisciplinary projects, developing strategies consistent with the University's continuous quality improvement program.
  • Oversee all aspects of staff management, including recruitment and retention of assigned staff.
  • Oversee the analysis and determination of appropriate staff mix to support patient/customer needs.
  • Ensure competency of unit management/supervisory staff through the development and/or presentation of educational programs and through on-going staff performance evaluation.
  • Market and promote new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in committees to establish patient/customer service and administrative plans and policies.
  • Facilitate cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, clinical field, or related area, or equivalency.
  • Nine years of progressively more responsible management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, staff management, and effective communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the University Health system.
Work Environment

This position requires an office environment with occasional earlier morning or later evening meetings.

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting, hearing, listening, talking, and occasional repetitive hand motion, walking, bending, and reaching overhead.
