About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Open Sky Community Services. As a key member of our integrated healthcare team, you will provide leadership and oversight to our nursing, clinical, and direct care staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and provide brief treatment and medication management for individuals with psychiatric disorders.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care.
  • Review and approve individualized service plans and assessments.
  • Work in close collaboration with other staff to further develop our integrated service system.
  • Provide psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support.
  • Refer patients for inpatient care, in collaboration with the staff psychiatrist, as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited graduate program in psychiatric nursing and Massachusetts License as an Advanced Practice Nurse, required.
  • Board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Association and recognized to practice in an expanded role by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing, required.
  • Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) and Federal DEA, or ability to obtain, required.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner with Outpatient Services. Experience or interest in public health sector and/or community mental health, highly desired.
