Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality nuclear medicine and PET procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nuclear medicine and PET procedures using various equipment and techniques.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including venipuncture and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Conduct quality control tests to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Recognize and report any recordkeeping failures or omissions to management or radiation safety officer.
- Perform routine calibration on equipment without assistance.
- Strictly observe safety precautions when handling radiopharmaceuticals and safeguard against unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Prepare kits according to manufacturer inserts and use aseptic technique when preparing radiopharmaceutical kits and injecting patients.
- Effectively use RIS, PACS, and hospital-based computer programs, adhering to policies and practices regarding confidentiality of electronic communications.
- Collect and submit documentation needed for NM and PET reimbursements.
- Respond to changes in the work schedule and cover all shifts on a rotational basis, as well as respond to on-call situations immediately.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine, with 1 year of PET experience preferred.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiology or nuclear medicine technology.
- Current N.J. license in Fusion Imaging CT, with certification as a CNMT and NMTCB(CT), ARRT (R) and ARRT (N), or a combination that satisfies the qualifications of the NJDEP Fusion license.
- CPR certification.
