Job Summary

HYLAND HILLS PARKS & RECREATION is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletics Field Supervisor to oversee the supervision of athletic sports programs. The successful candidate will provide supervision at program sites, including league play, and ensure the safety of participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Supervision: Supervise athletic sports programs, ensuring the safety of participants and maintaining discipline.
  • Emergency Response: Handle emergency or crisis situations, and may be required to perform emergency care.
  • Communication: Interact with numerous groups and individuals, such as players, spectators, staff, and disseminate program information to patrons.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce and/or recommend changes to policies and procedures for assigned programs.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Policies and Procedures: Thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures, and activities of the Parks and Recreation Department as they pertain to the performance of the duties of the Field Supervisor.
  • Sport Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the sport being played.
  • Customer Service: Well-developed customer service and human relations skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for most of the working shift, lift 40 lbs, and work in moderate to loud noise levels.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including summer sun and temperatures.
