Position Overview

The Catering Service Student Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the success of events by managing various responsibilities, including event preparation, food transport, guest service, and post-event clean-up. This position is exclusively for students enrolled at the Aramark location, and specific duties may vary based on client needs and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare catering setups in accordance with client specifications and event orders.
  • Serve food and beverages to attendees during events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of food service areas throughout the event.
  • Restock food and beverage items as necessary during the event.
  • Conduct post-event breakdown and clean-up of service areas and equipment, ensuring proper storage of items.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating the needs of guests.
  • Foster a positive environment for guests, clients, and colleagues.
  • Comply with Aramark's safety protocols, including food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Safeguard company assets and resources.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a serving or food service capacity is preferred.
  • Exemplary customer service abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. is required.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
